There exists a parameter,
Hard bound within zero and disorder;
And it has functions to its name-
Analytic in the positive half plane;
It served Laplace transforms
Hot in log and exponential scales..
But then, on one fine day
It discovered the other half plane!
It saw that it could diverge over there,
That it could actually kiss infinity
Understood that it was bound by definition
But it could never accept its destiny.
And like in all the epics of human history
Arrived its saviour, Euler with complexity!
And then there was no hard bound
Only simple poles were carried around,
Mr. parameter left the origin in a breeze
To reach for points,
where margins never did.
So what did we learn from analytic continuation?
That life is not that different from all these equations.
