The Balcony

Romeo stands alone,
Underneath a glaring spotlight
His hardly stoic gaze,
Fixed on an empty balcony

But Alas! The sky is dark,
And promises pale;
With only his shadow ahead
Darkness prevails.
O Juliet, where art thou?
Today, when Spring has blossomed
Why wouldn't you arrive?
Romeo stands alone,
As does the balcony in his eyes.
