There stands a tree outside my window
A little yellow, a little green, a little in between
Its leaves, hanging their sharp heads downwards
"Why?" I would ask; A surrender to gravity?
But no! There you see under the shade
White lilies smiling mischievously at them
So I wonder about the gap, this cloudy evening
A little grey, a defiant orange, a fading day.
A little yellow, a little green, a little in between
Its leaves, hanging their sharp heads downwards
"Why?" I would ask; A surrender to gravity?
But no! There you see under the shade
White lilies smiling mischievously at them
So I wonder about the gap, this cloudy evening
A little grey, a defiant orange, a fading day.
