I wonder why a desert exists
With its deep purple horizon
And shadows of what used to be
I wonder what lies beyond
The golden yellow of the far nowhere
Catching waves of silence, only to be.
I wonder what left the world
I only see what's left behind
Dust, gravel and dusky promises
Burning stories for a luminous night.
Curtains, Love. Behold the time
Hamlet sings his ode to life
As curtains wait for stars to shine
Farewell, light. Lead her right.
With its deep purple horizon
And shadows of what used to be
I wonder what lies beyond
The golden yellow of the far nowhere
Catching waves of silence, only to be.
I wonder what left the world
I only see what's left behind
Dust, gravel and dusky promises
Burning stories for a luminous night.
Curtains, Love. Behold the time
Hamlet sings his ode to life
As curtains wait for stars to shine
Farewell, light. Lead her right.
